Withdrawals return network by network

Binance announced on 1 November that it was beginning the first phase of withdrawal restoration following a security incident. Initial availability covers selected assets across networks including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Tron, XRP Ledger, Base and Arbitrum. Deposits remained open, but Binance warned that withdrawals could face delays during the phased restart and advised users to check the live status for each asset and network before initiating a transfer.

Exchange says it will absorb the loss

The exchange says it paused withdrawals while containing the incident, reviewing security and replenishing affected assets. Binance reported that major balances including BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC were fully backed, and that it had sourced about 95% of all affected assets. It said the remaining portion involved less-liquid tokens and repeated that users would not bear the financial loss. A post-incident report is still pending, so the cause, control failures and full loss assessment have not yet been independently established.

What it means for merchants

Merchants relying on Binance for settlement or treasury conversion should verify the exact asset-network pair before promising payout timing. Keep alternative wallets or exchanges available, test with a small transfer, monitor confirmation delays and avoid treating the platform’s recovery statement as a substitute for the forthcoming incident review.
