One payment view across channels
Pine Labs announced on 4 November that it is combining Stripe's online payment capabilities with Pine Labs' in-store terminals and merchant tools for eligible retailers in Singapore. The service is due to begin during November and is intended to consolidate online and physical-store transactions in a single view. The companies say retailers will also be able to use Pine Labs features including multi-issuer instalments, pay-by-points, merchant-funded promotions and digital marketing tools. An expansion to other Southeast Asian markets is planned for 2027. The launch addresses a practical operational problem: omnichannel retailers often reconcile different providers for their website, stores, financing and reporting. A shared view may reduce that fragmentation, but merchants still need to confirm how settlement, refunds, disputes and data exports work across each channel before migrating.
What it means for merchants
Singapore retailers should compare the combined service against their current reconciliation workload and test whether online returns, store refunds, instalments and loyalty payments appear consistently in finance systems before a wider rollout.
