A multi-part partnership
Ripple and Robinhood announced on 27 October that RLUSD is live on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood, with availability in the Robinhood app expected later in 2026. Bitstamp by Robinhood also plans to use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger for institutional settlement. Separately, Robinhood intends to integrate Ripple Treasury into its own finance operations, covering cash and liquidity management, forecasting, payments, risk management and intercompany netting. Ripple Prime already provides Bitstamp with lending and margin financing across roughly 20 digital assets, with perpetual futures support planned later in the year.
What is live and what is planned
The announcement combines current integrations with forward-looking product plans, so merchants and treasury teams should not treat every element as generally available today. Wider RLUSD distribution may improve access and liquidity for eligible users, while a treasury integration could demonstrate how stablecoins and traditional cash workflows coexist inside a large financial platform. Neither development removes the need for jurisdiction checks, counterparty assessment, wallet security and redemption planning.
What it means for merchants
Separate live capabilities from announced roadmaps, and evaluate any stablecoin treasury use against redemption access, accounting controls, liquidity concentration and operational recovery procedures.
