Starling adds direct revolving credit for businesses
Starling Bank announced on 6 November that it will launch its first business credit card during the month, beginning with early access for selected limited-company customers. The card will have no annual fee or foreign-exchange fee and will offer 1% uncapped monthly cashback on eligible spending. Available credit limits are expected to range from £2,000 to £100,000, with physical and digital cards, Mastercard business benefits and up to 55 days of interest-free purchasing when the statement balance is repaid in full by the due date. The advertised variable annual percentage rate is 24.90%. Access is invitation-only initially and remains subject to eligibility, credit checks and terms; cashback exclusions also apply. The launch expands Starling's business tools beyond current accounts, expense cards, invoicing, accounting and tap-to-pay services.
What it means for merchants
Eligible businesses should compare the value of cashback and waived FX fees with the 24.90% variable APR, repayment timing, employee-card controls and accounting integration; carrying a balance can quickly outweigh the headline rewards.
