Crypto payment processing: compare collection, conversion and settlement.

Crypto payment acceptance, stablecoin settlement and on-ramp/off-ramp services solve different problems. Start with the exact flow you need, then compare providers against that flow rather than treating all digital-asset services as interchangeable.

Research and preparation only. Provider eligibility, licences and terms require independent confirmation.

Define the customer-to-settlement flow

Describe what the customer pays with and what your business needs to receive. A crypto checkout, fiat-to-crypto purchase, crypto-to-fiat conversion and stablecoin business payout are separate services. Confirm who performs each step, which contracting entity is responsible and whether the service is available for your company and customer markets.

Compare assets and networks together

An asset name does not specify its network. Confirm supported network/asset combinations, wallet requirements, minimum amounts, confirmation rules and treatment of incorrect or unsupported transfers. Where conversion is offered, ask how the exchange rate, spread and network costs are calculated. Do not treat stablecoin settlement as equivalent to a bank deposit or assume a fixed redemption outcome.

Understand custody and operational responsibility

Ask whether the arrangement is custodial, who controls the wallet, what information is needed for checks and how holds or exceptions are handled. Refunds can require a separate transfer and additional verification; their process and costs should be clear before acceptance begins. Provider documentation should explain reconciliation, reporting and integration responsibilities.

Check eligibility before adopting the service

Company location, exact business model, customer countries and intended flow must be reviewed by the provider. A provider advertising support for digital assets does not establish that a specific high-risk activity is acceptable. Compare documented capabilities and current contractual terms. Payment Guide does not custody assets, convert funds or guarantee a provider’s onboarding or settlement decisions.
